They also explore the numbers 1 to 4 with their fingers.<\/p>\n<p>They sing together as they count: one drop, two, three, and four drops. By synchronizing the movements of their fingers with the sound of the drops, they <strong>experience different note values<\/strong>: half notes, quarter notes and eighth notes . <strong>They also tap several different rhythmic figures<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The repetitive nature of the song facilitates memorization of the song lyrics.<\/p>\n<p>This activity helps the children to develop dexterity, rhythm, and hand-eye coordination.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tip:<\/strong> Younger children can use their whole hand rather than their fingers to make the sound of the raindrops.
